Hard-Water Largemouth Bass, late season fun.

(Micropterus salmoides) largemouth bass are an overlooked species when it comes to hard-water fishing. Not only are they fun to catch but you tend to catch the bigger ones through the ice. Fittsy and I had a small window of fishing opportunity and decided to avoid the strong wind on the big lake and find a small cove to catch bass and a couple of black crappie for the fry pan. These smaller lakes and ponds are a great place to avoid the crowds and take kids fishing because your usually going to catch something and often many different species.
